THE PLAY PRINCIPLE
Carolie‘s Cube is a three-dimensional sliding puzzle. The aim of the game is to restore the original arrangement of the puzzle by moving cubes to the respective free position.
START A GAME
Tap ”New Game“ to generate a game. At the beginning the free position is always in the center of the puzzle. Simply tap on an adjacent cube to move it to the free position. Now move more cubes until the puzzle is back in the original arrangement. To do this, you can rotate the puzzle in the desired direction at any time by dragging it with your finger.
VIEW SOLUTION
Tap ”Solution“ to view an animated solution of the game. The points per star and the rating will then be reduced.
YOUR RATING
Depending on the complexity of the respective game, a certain number of points is awarded per star. Based on how many moves you needed to solve the game, you will receive a rating between 1 and 5 stars. The stars are multiplied by the points per star to determine the result. Each game result is added to your total number of points.
THE LEVELS
To unlock a new level, you must solve a game at the highest available level with a rating of at least 3 stars. You are not allowed to use the ”Solution“ function. If you have already unlocked several levels, you can use the dial to choose in which level the next game should be generated.
In the training Levels 1/4 to 3/4 you can get to know the game in simplified constellations. From Level 1 on, the game really starts with all 26 cubes. In Level 2, one of the cubes is positioned at the start of the game in such a way that you cannot recognise its colour coding. In Level 3 there are already 2 cubes, in Level 4 there are 3 and so on until finally in the highest Level 27 only the black sides of all cubes are visible!
YOUR CAREER
You start Carolie‘s Cube as ”Trainee“. If you have solved a Level 1 game with a rating of at least 3 stars without using the ”Solution“, you will be promoted to ”Pro“. Continue to improve and earn the ranks of ”Genius“ (Level 9) and ”Mastermind“ (Level 18). Upon successful completion of level 27, you will reach the highest rank and become a ”Grand Master“.
Once you have earned a higher rank, it will remain the same regardless of the level you play in or how many points you have.
